Last summer of 2013, the Board of Directors of JD Pamana Foundation visited the province of Marinduque, particularly Brgy. Tapuyan in Gasan. During their visit, they were able to speak with the local residents and were also treated warmly by the people. They were also able to visit the Tapuyan Elementary School wherein they saw the need for the restoration of various school buildings of the school.
This year 2014, two of the seven buildings were scheduled for renovation. These buildings were the first to be renovated for the reason that its ceilings are about to collapse and its walls are already consumed by termites.
As of mid-May 2013, on-going carpentry works are still done.
This would really benefit the children and faculty of the school especially that the school year is opening soon. Turnover of the restoration is set on June 2, 2013, opening of classess for school year 2014-2015.
