The first medical and dental mission of the Foundation for 2018, in partnership with Victory Christian Church was held last April 6-7,2018. The team went to Iraan Rizal and reached the tribal people of Southern part of Palawan. It was a 2 days free medical and dental mission held in Bintat Kariz Iraan Rizal Palawan, a five hours land travel from Puerto Princesa, the capital city of Palawan. They are mainly agricultural. They do so by cutting down the vegetation before burning it all. This creates a fertile soil in which they grow crops.They grow bananas, rice, different vegetables and root crops.


The team together with the four dentists and one medical doctor arrived in Rizal Palawan around 10:00 in the morning and started the medical mission at exactly 1:00 until 5:00 in the afternoon. Most of the patients who lined up for registration were children.


122 medical patients and 35 dental patients were served on the first day of the mission.

On the second day of the mission, the team started to prepare the venue as early as 7:00 in the morning, one of the board member of the Foundation, Mr. Paul Masuda together with his son were present in the event and helped the team in preparation for the event.

225 medical patients and 32 dental patients were served and also 13 male patients had a circumcision.


Volunteers from Rural Health Unit and Municipal Health Unit also helped on the second day of the mission, they held birth control implant for 13 women, vaccine for 12 babies of one month to 2 years of age, they also distributed mosquito net for 75 families.

They also conducted Malaria diagnostic testing for more than 250 patients.

The 90 year old patient was diagnosed with pneumonia. He has many stories to tell. He remembers the Japanese occupation and he was beaten by marines during the 1970s on suspicion that he was helping communist rebels. His health issues began then.

A total of 347 medical patients, 67 dental patients and 13 male circumcision were served for the two days medical and dental mission.

The team also had a feeding program on the second day of the mission for the residents of Bintat Iraan.

The following day, April 8,2018 a worship service was held, led by senior pastor of Victory Christian Church Pastor Ronel Fulgado.
